Ever wanted to skip the long queues at Disney World stores?
Well, for the last year and a half, Disney has been releasing one new mobile payment feature in select parks stores. Most recently, the service debuted at the Emporium in Magic Kingdom and now it’s another Disney’s Hollywood Studios store!
We stopped this morning Hollywood’s Mickey’s to do some shopping and I noticed Mobile shopping is now available as an option to the guests!
There are several signs around the store to help you navigate the process, and all you need to do to get started is scan the QR code on the poster to open the My Disney Experience app.
Once you have selected all of your items, you will be prompted to do so scans the barcode of the merchandise in the application where I will do it process payment. The app will also automatically apply the discounts you have (as long as your tickets are linked to your account), so you don’t have to worry about not getting some savings if you opt for this faster payment experience.
Once you have paid for the app, you will receive one exit QR code that will have to be shown to a cast member at designated mobile payment output (just follow the directions). They will also offer you a bag for all your items here.
And that’s it! Disney has announced that Mobile Checkout will also arrive on Island Mercantile at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, so we’ll be keeping an eye on when it releases soon. And in the meantime, be sure to stay tuned to AllEars for the latest Disney news and updates!
