We had lunch in space at Disney World and will soon be in space aboard the Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser!
The new Star Wars the hotel is ready to do a lot first trip on March 1, 2022 and we have been receiving at the of details about the unique experience that led to his great debut. We’ve taken you through everything from what the cabins will be like to what you eat (including the BLUE SHRIMPS), what you can do and WHO you can see (or even become!) al 2-night “immersive adventure”. And while Disney has constantly given us more snacks, one thing that hasn’t stayed consistent is the booking schedule, which makes some guests wonder … Do people already choose to cancel their reservations? Let’s take a look at what we’re seeing.
Advance bookings for Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser opened on October 7, 2021 to select groups such as Disney Vacation Club members, annual pass holders, and Club 33 members. when general registrations were available, almost the whole of March was exhausted, except 31, and some dates in April and May were not available. So it goes without saying that the hotel was looking beautiful popular!
I, dates continued to run out in the first week of November, with April booked completely and availability in May is even more limited.
So if you booked your stay early, you should really plan your visit sometime in July, August or September for more options.
And, LITERALLY days later, even June was full, leaving a release date for the entire month.
But, the availability schedule has fluctuated quite a bit since then, with dates (and even months!) that open and then run out … and then reopen. For example, on November 30, 2021, there were only two release dates available in May …
… and the whole month of May quickly sold out from December 2, 2021 …
… But only 12 days later, there are many more dates to choose from once again. And you can even look forward to March (which is the first month the hotel will be open) to see more evidence of booking fluctuations.
So what exactly is going on here? Well, there are some things that might be going on. First of all, Disney has been pretty sincere about the fact availability is subject to change And this the calendar is only updated periodically. You can check just below the calendar to see the exact date and time it was last updated, but it can only be trusted to some extent. As we know, Disney’s availability is constantly changing, no matter what you’re trying to book, whether it’s cancellations or just Disney opening more reservations.
Another thing to keep in mind is this Disney requires guests to make the final payment 90 days in advance and those who decide to cancel will only receive a full refund if they cancel more than 90 days. Believe it or not, we are less than 90 days away from March 1, 2022, so many of those March dates that open could be related to cancellations.
But WHY would anyone cancel their space trip? He Star Wars The hotel will definitely be different from anything Disney fans have seen or experienced before, though it has a pretty high price. With the rate that bookings were booking at the beginning, it is possible for some guests to act quickly to get a place without really thinking about whether they wanted to commit 100% or not. So whether it’s the price of the hotel, scheduling conflicts, or just a growing disinterest in experiencing the experience after seeing more details, people might just be canceling.
Disney has not revealed any details as to why availability is suddenly open for pre-booked dates. But if you’re thinking of booking a stay, you’re in luck if you book now!
Of course, we’ll keep you posted on all of them Star Wars Hotel events, so be sure to stay tuned to DFB for the latest news!
