Let’s get back to our weekly summary of Disney World build updates!
2021 has definitely been a busy year in terms of building around parks and resorts, but Disney is not over yet! There’s so much more to come in 2022 (including a whole new attraction) and there’s still a lot to fix in between! Tan, we take a look at all the latest updates; let’s go!
TRON: Lightcycle Run
Disney is advancing on Magic Kingdom’s new roller coaster. TRON: Lightcycle Run every day! Last week we realized that in structure next to the track had begun to close the …
I now it’s ready! There’s still a lot more work to be done here in the canopies outside, but we’re starting to see how this attraction really comes together.
It has not yet been announced when the trip will open, so it could be a little longer before we can get on our light cycle and run down the track.
Nature of the world
Many EPCOTs are under construction right now, as the park is undergoing a massive transformation, but we are also noticing that there are some smaller projects along the park. For example, in World Nature (or what was formerly known as the Pavilion of Imagination), a a small part of the sidewalk was marked.
Improvements seem to be in the middle of nowhere, but this is certainly not the first time we’ve seen Disney make some renovations to a park’s sidewalk to ensure the safety of guests as they walk.
I, near The Seas With Nemo and Friends, one of the water beds was completely drained.
Disney usually drains these water beds to do so small renovations throughout the year, so hopefully it will be refilled soon.
Disney’s animal kingdom
It’s been a while since we’ve seen the progress of construction in DinoLand, USA, at Disney’s Animal Kingdom! The old promenade, Primeval Whirl, was completely demolished earlier this fall and now the area is cut with a full fence along with some additional construction barriers.
We spoke to a Cast Member who told us there have been no shared official plans on what could become of this area. So for now, it’s a great place to relax at noon or park your car while taking advantage of DinoLand’s other attractions.
Disney’s BoardWalk Inn
We’ve been bringing you many updates to Disney’s BoardWalk Inn as Disney works to renovate the walkways surrounding the hotel, but this week we also noticed that something is being done at wave construction. A part of the outside looked like it was half-retouched, so we will be watching to see how the finished product is!
And that’s it for all of this week’s build updates! Be sure to stay tuned to DFB for more of the latest updates on what’s coming (and coming out) soon at Disney World!
