In a few weeks, Disney’s Magical Express will be officially shut down, allowing guests to find their own transportation between Disney World and Orlando International Airport (MCO).
We’ve taken a look at all the alternative transportation options you’ll have if you travel to the parks early, such as Mears Connect, a shared car service, Brightline High Speed Train, and more. I, now there is another new transportation option that will be very similar to the service offered by Disney’s Magical Express!
Orlando Transportation Management Services has announced that they will introduce a new shuttle bus shuttle option for guests seeks to travel between MCO and Disney World called The Sunshine Flyer. Reservations are already accepted for travel dates as of February 1, 2022.
When it comes to pricing, the website currently lists the service as a cost $ 17 per adult and $ 12.50 per child per one-way service. i $ 34 per adult and $ 25 per child round trip.
This cost is comparable to the new transportation service announced by Mears (which was the company that operated Disney’s Magical Express). Despite this, Sunshine Flyer does not include these as “start rates” so we could expect them to stay longer than current Mears Connect rates.
Like Disney’s Magical Express, guests traveling to MCO will be able to do so take the ferry from the main terminal building to terminal B, level 1, and then they will be taken to their Disney hotel.
In terms of travel time, the Sunshine Flyer website indicates this Guests must not wait more than 20 minutes before boarding the bus. And while there may be stops at several Disney hotels, the trip to the resort is scheduled so that the last stop will not take more than 65 minutes. Therefore, you will arrive at your hotel approximately one hour after leaving MCO.
And, when it comes to the trip back to MCO, the Sunshine Flyer will Please send guests a confirmation email with the departure time of the transport the day before departure. You can expect this to be approximately 3 hours before the scheduled departure time for domestic flights and 4 hours before the scheduled departure time for international flights.
