Going in and out of Disney World is about to change significantly in 2022! Disney’s Magical Express will officially suspend service in late 2021, meaning guests flying to Orlando International Airport will need a new ground transportation method to get to their Disney World Resort hotel.
Many guests may consider signing up for Mears Connect, one of two bus services that is currently scheduled to replace Magical Express starting in January.
Mears Connect will offer guests two options when traveling from the airport to your hotel: the standard service, which includes bus transportation, and the premium service, which includes a smaller passenger van. Today we took a first look at one of the buses that Mears will use!
The service did not start until the end of the year, but it was exciting to see one of the buses.
The design of this bus includes a colorful sea turtle, but we wondered if other buses would have different animals or designs included on the side!
One of the big differences between Mears Connect and Disney’s Magical Express is that you won’t be the only ones traveling on the buses – your luggage will be with you too! Unlike Magical Express, guests must pick up their luggage at Orlando Airport before boarding.
