What’s new at Disney’s Hollywood Studios: CHANGES at the entrance to Genie + and Early Theme Park

Disney World is changing all the time, with new attractions, reopening restaurants and innovative hotels.

But there are also many smaller changes that you may not notice! These changes happen almost daily, and here at DFB we do our best to keep you up to date with all the latest news. Today we are visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios to see what’s new in this park in terms of merchandise, entertainment, construction and more!

It is always a priority for us to find the perfect memory on our trips to Disney World. So let’s see what new merchandise is available today at Hollywood Studios!

Hollywood Studios product updates

Celebrities 5 and 10

We detected a new Park Pals toy in Celebrity 5 & 10, that’s right Marie from The Aristocats!

You can also get characters like Sully, Meeko and others.

These characters are $ 11.99 each, which is about $ 2 more than they were before.

Robbers Keystone

We then headed to Keystone Clothiers, which has all kinds of them Star Wars and Marvel merchandise. We have seen new toys What if …? Disney + series included Spidey zombie hunter⁇

⁇Festa Thor⁇

I Captain Carter.

There were also a new Black Panther t-shirt, which costs $ 36.99.

There was a new Avengers notebook, which had the classic logo on the front …

… and various characters in the pages of the notebook inside.

This book cost $ 22.99.

To complete the set of new Marvel merchandising products, we also found a bottle of Marvel water, which you can get $ 19.99.

If you are one Star Wars fan, there were many articles here for you too! We find a set of mystery pines, which had several pines Star Wars characters.

Sunset Club Couture

Sunset Club Couture had them new Tommy Bahama sweatshirts, included an embroidery with Mickey Mouse per $ 125⁇

I another embroidered with Minnie Mouse per $ 135.

There were also a new Minnie Mouse necklace, which was shaped by its iconic bow with rhinestones like moles.

You can get it for $ 19.99.

Tatooine merchants

Tatooine Traders had several new items to see, including several Star Wars t-shirts and sweatshirts. We saw a white Star Wars sweater per $ 49.99⁇

Hollywood Studios Entertainment Updates

The BIGGEST news from Hollywood studios is this a long-awaited show has finally returned to this park!

Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular is a show dedicated to the incredible stunts you’ll see in Indiana Jones movies. You’ll see Indy escaping from a giant rock, fighting the bad guys with Marion, and even confronting an enemy mechanic while avoiding a runaway plane.

You can check the daily schedules in the My Disney Experience app, or head to the show’s entrance (near Lake Echo) to see them posted outside.

Another show worth watching at Hollywood Studios is the Pixar Pals Contest. This mini-parade features beloved Pixar characters like Woody, Buzz, Sully, the Incredibles and more.

Recently, we saw a new friend participate in this party: Frozone!

Maybe he came in to see his golden character statue next to the Chinese Theater.

We are not yet sure if Frozone will stay for more caravans, but we will be on the lookout for it and let you know of any changes.

Hollywood Studios build updates

We detected a new billboard on the way to Hollywood Studios from the parking lot.

The billboard announced the Champions Contest app, which you can download from the App Store or Google Play.

Other Hollywood Studios updates

An additional 30 minutes of early entry

Disney World has recently expanded early entry to the theme park for guests staying at Disney-owned hotels an hour instead of just thirty minutes. Until January 3, 2022, guests of Disney Hotels can enter the four theme parks one hour before the official opening time!

We tried this new advantage at Hollywood Studios. When we entered the park an hour earlier, we found it all Sunset Boulevard gift shops were still closed. The attractions, however, were open! We mounted Tower of Terror i Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster⁇

…and then jumped in line for Slinky Dog Dash, all before 9 am (official opening time).

Turns out, these extra 30 minutes are great for accessing some popular attractions with a much shorter waiting time. Many guests used the extra time to secure a place in the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance line., so if you go there first, you may not get as many walks in the morning.

But you will be able to climb Rise of the Resistance with a shorter waiting time than usual, and the wait for this attraction can be VERY long. So where do you go first during early entry? it depends on what your priorities are in the park!

Genie + Changes

Another big change we saw recently is that Disney World moved four Pay-Per-Ride attractions to be included with Genie +. So now if you buy Genie + ($ 15 per ticket per day), you can book a place for Lightning Lane Expedition Everest, Space Mountain, Frozen Ever After and Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at at no extra cost.

Bookings for these attractions have been some of the most popular, therefore be sure to book them first if you feel like riding them.

These changes are also temporary. The four attractions that switched to Genie + will return to Pay-Per-Ride after January 3, 2022.
