We tried it for a limited time holiday treats all over Disney World in recent weeks, inclusive Holiday Lunch Box Cake, Red Velvet Cake and Menagerie Cupcake just to name a few!
Today we are in Pineapple wool en Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort to see another new festive ice cream snack!
Say “Aloha” to ‘Olu Mel Carrossa de Nadal!
This festive float that celebrates all things’ Olu Mel is a Dole Whip file float with Pineapple juice, a ‘Olu Mel white chocolate medallion i Strawberry candy. It is also covered in edible glitter!
But wait, who is’ Olu Mel, you ask? He is a music-loving sea turtle who is a friend of Duffy’s Mickey Mouse’s teddy bear! “Olu Mel enjoys spending time at Disney ‘s Aulani Resort, but has also created a bit of a presence at Disney’ s Polynesian Village Resort.
If you’re like us and you’re thinking, “WOW, it’s a very green lime whip” it’s because they’ve added green food coloring (probably to give it that extra festive touch of color!). Personally, we could have done without food coloring, but it does a very beautiful, festive and colorful delicacy.
El ‘Olu Mel The square of white chocolate was BIG! The design of ‘Olu Mel was printed on edible paper, making a little year strange texture, but it was still tasty. ‘Olu Mel and Lime Dole Whip have seemed to be an inseparable couple since we first noticed the’ Olu Mel Soft Serve ‘last year.
As for the float itself, we loved the combination of Lime Dole Whip and Pineapple Juice, giving the treatment a healthy dose of sweetness and acidity. Pop rocks add a lot of fun to the delight. but be prepared before you have a bite!
As this is a special holiday gift, it won’t be for long! Go through Pineapple Lanai and try it yourself $ 6.49. We’ll be back all week with more Disney World holiday finds, so be sure to follow along!
