We have been closely monitoring how the global health crisis of COVID-19 has affected Disney parks around the world, as well as the Disney Cruise Line and even Disney Entertainment. Over the last few years, we’ve seen backward movies, with some movies even being released in Disney + as well as theaters.
And while it looks like things are starting to get back to normal, concerns about the Omicron variant of the disease have begun to affect entertainment more, including Disney +. Boba Fett’s book fan premiere event.
According to Variety, the red carpet premiere event Boba Fett’s book originally scheduled for January 4 at the Captain’s Theater in Hollywood has been postponed due to COVID issues. The fan event awaited guests such as Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Robert Rodriguez, Kathleen Kennedy and Ming-Na Wen, with more names to announce.
In a statement, Disney wrote: “As a precaution, we will postpone Boba Fett fan event. It will be moved to the February 8 in the celebration of the final ”.
The Omicron variant is also expected to have an impact on international tourism in Florida. Sewage testing has also been shown to be the predominant variant in Orange County, Florida, where Disney World is located. According to Reuters, the CDC has stated that the Omicron variant now explains 73 percent of all cases in the US
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the variant has also led to a wave of canceled Broadway performances, including performances by Hamilton, Aladdin, The Lion King, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, and more.
We will continue to monitor the situation and keep you informed, so stay tuned.
Everything will arrive at Disney + in January
