Our team of Disney Ambassadors 2019-2021 knew at the time of their selection that they were about to embark on the adventure of a lifetime, but they had no idea what was in store for them. two-year term, which became three years. Today, in the first #AmbassadorApreciationDay, let’s take a look at everything this team has accomplished. From special moments with cast members at each of their resorts to connecting with all of us globally, with their #DisneyCastLife series, we all have a fond memory of ambassador for the past three years.
When they talked to the team about what was the highlight of their three-year term, they all talked about a common topic: the cast. “I met new people every day and found out how passionate our cast members are,” said Walt Disney World Ambassador Marilyn West.
Shanghai Disney Ambassador Fiona Huang shared a similar sentiment when asked what her favorite part of being in the role was: “I loved the training in the workplace and the ability to put me in the skin of the cast members who do magic each and every one. one day. “
“It’s so valuable and unique to see what each cast member sees each day,” shared Rafa Barron of Disneyland Resort reflecting on his own experience working alongside cast members in “role shadows” throughout the complex.
The role of the Disney ambassador extends beyond the parks and by connecting with the cast, it also supports the local community. For the Eleven Song of Shanghai Disney Resort, the volunteer and community work was especially rewarding. “One of the most magical things about Disney is our ability to get the inner child out of everyone.” There is no doubt that all of our ambassadors had many moments to bring joy and smiles to guests of all ages, from local Disney VoluntEARS events to arranging Make-A-Wish tours and visiting local hospitals with Mickey Mouse.
Aulani’s ambassador, Alyssa-Lende, shared that the heart of the ambassador’s experience is to “encourage people around the world to be his best true self.”
The journey of being a Disney ambassador is deeply personal. It is a multi-year commitment to represent the cast members and their respective resorts, which can often mean early nights and mornings, but the reward and experience are invaluable and culminate in the ultimate experience of the members of the Disney cast.
“Being an ambassador was a huge honor and brought me an incredible amount of happiness,” shared Tokyo Disney Resort Ambassador Ayumi Noguchi. “I really feel that the various experiences of being an ambassador have led me to my development as an individual.” For Giona Prevete of Disneyland Paris, being in the role “meant being able to represent the complex I’ve loved so much since I was four.” Perhaps Melody Leung of Hong Kong Disneyland sums up the experience better, when she looks back over the past three years and what it means to be a Disney ambassador, “dreams can come true!”
