Disney World Restaurants to Try in 2022

2022 has arrived! If your plans for the new year involve planning a trip to Disney World, maybe it’s time to start thinking about which restaurants you want to try on your next visit!
In addition to the tried-and-true classic restaurants you dine on every time you vacation at Disney World, there are a few extra places to eat that we suggest you try in 2022!
One of the first essential attempts (if you can make a reservation!) Will be space 220 at EPCOT. This gastronomic experience out of this world opened almost two years later than previously planned (is it true; remember when we thought it was supposed to open in late 2019?), And right now it’s one of the most difficult reserves to obtain. at Disney World.

Space 220 is about the immersive experience – from the moment you walk in, you know you’re a little different. Guests take a lift that takes them 220 miles above Florida to Centauri Space Station, where you can dine on an extensive menu.

Lunch at the Space 220 is a fixed-price two-course menu and dinner is a fixed-price three-course menu. There is also a seating area where you can make an advance reservation for dinner.
Another of Disney World’s newest restaurants is La Crêperie de Paris, located in the recently expanded French pavilion at EPCOT. As the name suggests, this place is about pancakes, both sweet and savory!

La Crêperie de Paris has table and counter service components, with an open window called Crêpes À Emporter.
While there are a couple of new restaurants that you should totally try in 2022, there are also some of our favorites that we will gladly recommend year after year, starting with “Ohana!

“Ohana reopened in 2021 with much fanfare, mainly due to the return of her signature ‘Ohana Noodles.’ .
Another classic Disney World restaurant is California Grill, located at the top of Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Just the sight is worth a trip here, but another reason you should visit especially in 2022 is its revamped menu!

California Grill has transformed its menu into a special three-course experience with a fixed price just for the 50th anniversary celebration, meaning this time-limited menu won’t last forever! If you think you’ve tried everything there is to try at California Grill, it might be worth revisiting in 2022.
One of our favorite Disney World dining places right now is Topolino’s Terrace at Disney’s Riviera Resort. Another top-floor dining experience, Topolino’s offers panoramic views of Disney World Resort!

Here you will find a character breakfast as well as an author dinner menu. Both are good choices, but if you’re looking for a total improvement over breakfast at Chef Mickey’s, this is the place to be!
At Disney’s Animal Kingdom, you’ll find Nomad Lounge, perhaps our favorite lounge in all of Disney World. It’s right next to the signature Tiffins restaurant, though if you ask us, we’d love to walk to the Nomad Lounge any day!

From unique cocktails to amazing snacks, this is a great stop for a quick bite to eat or a great place to relax and unwind for an hour or two.
Character food in general
The character dinner looks very different these days after the 2020 closings, but there have been some big changes to selected locations in late 2021 that could make it worth a try in 2022.

If the reason you’re looking for food with characters is, well, for the characters (obviously), you’ll want to know that guests may start to get a little closer to the characters than before! At Tusker House in Animal Kingdom, for example, guests can now get up from their tables and approach the characters to take a selfie that is still socially distant (before, guests had to sit at their table while the characters passed in. This still seems to be the case in certain places, like Story Book Dining.

With the modification of the meeting and the greeting of characters who are just beginning to return to the parks, dinner with characters is still a great option if you want a little more time to see your favorite Disney friend.
Restaurants with 50th Anniversary Menu Items!
Disney World did its best with the food offered during the 50th anniversary celebration, which runs through April 2023. Special snacks are available at all four parks, but restaurants are also joining the festivities. !

In particular, Magic Kingdom restaurants may be worth a visit in 2022 if your mission is to try as many 50th anniversary treats as possible. Check out Plaza Restaurant and Jungle Navigation Co., Ltd. Skipper Canteen!
Restaurants that may (or may not) open or reopen!
Our latest category of restaurants you should visit in 2022 is a bit airy, so they may or may not be an option this year! We’re still waiting for some restaurants to reopen, including Hoop Dee Doo Revue in Fort Wilderness (if it reopens in 2022, don’t walk here!), As well as Jiko (the best place to eat a steak with one side). of macaroni and cheese).

We’re also waiting to see if 2022 is when we’ll finally be able to see Roundup Rodeo BBQ at Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! This one will definitely be at the top of our list, and if you’re traveling with kids to Disney World, you should be at the top of your list too!

We hope this list has given you some restaurant ideas that should be totally on your must-have list when you visit Disney World in 2022! Be sure to follow along for more tips and tricks next year.
