If you plan to be at Disney World this month, you might think that January is a relatively quiet time in the parks. And while that’s true, that doesn’t mean nothing happens! So, here we are to tell you the best things to do at Disney World in January!

Arts Festival

The EPCOT International Arts Festival begins this month! From From January 14 to February 21, you can celebrate the Culinary, visual and performing arts during this festival at EPCOT.

There will be more than a dozen food shows spread across the World Showcase with food that usually have a pretty unique presentation compared to other EPCOT festivals; after all, it’s about the arts!

This year of the stands NEW will debut at the festival – The Courtyard of the Craftsmen and Deco Delights. And, some stops from previous years have changed their name!

He also returns to the festival on Wonderful colorful kitchen walk, which is a food tracker that allows you to try out various items from different stands around the festival. Once you have tried each dish, you can hand in your festival passport for prizes!

But the festival is not just about food. This year, we will see the return of the Disney Concert Series on Broadway! The series features performances by some of Broadway’s most prominent actresses and actors, who will sing some of Disney’s most famous songs at the America’s Garden Theater in the American Adventure Pavilion.

Festival of the Arts also focuses heavily on visual art. You’ll see plaster artists, an interactive mural, the animation academy, and works of art featured in World Showcase galleries!

And don’t forget Figment, because he has a cart hunt at the festival! With Figment brush with the hunt for the masters’ chariot, you can buy a map at Port of Entry, Creations Shop or World Traveler $ 9.99 and look for the fiction hidden in the park’s artwork! Typhoon Lagoon

We found out recently Typhoon Lagoon will reopen at Disney World in January! Today, January 2, the water park will reopen after being closed for almost 2 years. But keep in mind that while Typhoon Lagoon opens, Disney’s Blizzard Beach water park closes for renovations.

Typhoon Lagoon also reopens with some new and fun stuff! There will be new food available in some places within the park, such as Snack Shack, where there will be new Dole Whip deals. Mango, pineapple, raspberry and lime Dole Whips will be available and you can even add alcohol if you are 21 or older!

There will be some too 2 Dole Whip creations inspired by Moana to Snack Shack, included the return of the con Hey Hey!!! We can’t WAIT to get back into the hands of this delicacy as it was taken to Magic Kingdom.

And, there’s a new cocktail on the menu called the Habanero Lime Galley Shack Swirl, which will have spicy habanero, sweet mango and spicy lime flavors!

There are also special snacks for the 50th anniversary, such as Walt’s Chili Nachos a Snack Shack i EARidescent Ice Dream Con a Happy Landings.

But keep in mind that there will also be some price increases for menus and changes around the water park!

Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend

The event includes the Walt Disney World Marathon, the Walt Disney World Half Marathon, the Walt Disney World 10K, and the Walt Disney World 5K. But be sure to go to the to runDisney Health & Fitness Expo at least one day before your first event to pick up the race bib, participant t-shirt and previously purchased merchandise. During the races, there will be interesting things spread out along the route, such as character sightings and fun entertainment! And once you’ve completed your race, you’ll get your commemorative medals.

As long as the race is over, you can usually still go and watch to cheer on the runners! If you know someone running, you can even track them during the 10km, Half Marathon or Marathon to find out how they are doing during the race. Details on how to watch the race will be announced on the weekend of the Marathon.
