In general, this is the time of year when Disney World closes its attractions for maintenance and refurbishment.
And right now, two of Disney World’s most popular attractions have been closed for renovation. Everest Expedition to Disney’s Animal Kingdom closed earlier this month due to a lengthy renovation. And now, Mountain Splash it has also closed for refurbishment.
However, Splash Mountain will only be closed for about a month; it is expected to reopen February 10th. In the meantime, if you visit Magic Kingdom, you’ll notice that the attraction has been closed to guests.
The building walls have risen around the promenade …
… With more signage on the enclosure along the walls. Splash Mountain “is closed by a spell”, not forever!
Otherwise, Splash Mountain currently looks almost the same!
We saw cast members near the entrance to Splash Mountain playing with guests, such as one square applauding, which is basically a square shape made of tape on the floor. Every time a guest gets up in the square, he gets a round of applause!
