“Alice’s Wonderland Bakery” is a new animated series for preschoolers and their families inspired by the world of “Alice in Wonderland” and premieres on February 9, 2022, with a broadcast simultaneous on both Disney Channel and Disney Junior at 10:30 am EST / PST.
An initial batch of episodes will also be released on the same day on demand and streaming platforms at Disney +.
Based on the classic 1951 film, the series focuses on Alice, the great-granddaughter of the original character, and a young baker appearing in the enchanted Wonderland Bakery, where her magical delights help bring together a new generation of friends and family.
Each episode of “Alice’s Wonderland Bakery”, consisting of two 11-minute stories, focuses on the magical adventures of Alice’s recipes with her best friends, who join her at the bakery to prepare whimsical cakes and sweets. for friends and neighbors with enchanted cooking tools and ingredients to help them.
The series celebrates food culture and creativity, highlights self-expression, and teaches age-appropriate social and emotional lessons about friendship, collaboration, and the importance of community.
The series stars newcomer Libby Rue as Alice’s voice, along with Abigail Estrella as Princess Rosa, Princess of Hearts and Alice’s most artistic friend; CJ Uy as Hattie, a “crazy hatter” guy and Alice’s dumbest friend; Jack Stanton as Fergie the white rabbit, Alice’s best friend and big fan; Second Wood as Cookie, the magical cookbook that belonged to Alice’s great-grandmother; and Audrey Wasilewski as Dinah, Alice’s pet who is always by her side.
Max Mittelman (“Spider-Man”) appears as the Cheshire cat, Alice’s mysterious and playful friend and one of the most iconic characters in Wonderland.
Guest stars of the series will include Craig Ferguson as Doorknob; Eden Espinosa as Rosa’s mother, The Queen of Hearts; GRAMMY® Award winner Jon Secada (“Just Another Day”) as Rosa’s grandfather, The King of Hearts; Vanessa Bayer and Bobby Moynihan as Tweedle Do and Tweedle Don’t twins; Donald Faison as Harry the March Hare; Rich Sommer as Captain Dodo; Yvette Nicole Brown as Mama Rabbit; Ana Gasteyer with Kiki; Lamorne Morris as Dandy; Matthew Moy as David of Spades; and Lesley Nicol as Iris.
The series also features Broadway stars Ali Stroker (“Oklahoma!”) As Daisy; Melissa van der Schyff (“Bonnie and Clyde”) as Jojo; James Monroe Iglehart (“Aladdin”) as Oliver; Mandy Gonzalez (“Hamilton”) as Mother Rose; Christopher Fitzgerald (“waitress”) as thistle; and George Salazar (“Be More Chill”) as Dad Hatter.
